Having owned a basset previously, I wanted to experience that same, laid-back love again. I researched for several months, and though I saw several ads, when I called Joe's number, the message I received sending me to the website convinced me that this was the way to go. My son and I went to visit, and were immediately made to feel welcome. I was allowed to spend as much time as I wanted with the available pups, and fell in love with "Howard." All the pups were beautiful, healthy and well socialized. The kennels were very nice, and being able to see both parents was a real plus. That gave me a good idea of what I could expect of my pup in the way of size and temperament. I was very pleased with the whole experience, and feel I have gained new friends who share my love for the breed.

We wanted to post a thank you to the Brooks for our Bassett puppy, Maggie. We waited for this litter and was then able to select the one we wanted. In the interim period waiting for the puppies to be able to be separated from their mother we were kept informed on their progress and how our puppy was doing. We were able to get pictures regularly along with the updates. We already had one Bassett 18 mos so I had a lot of questions about getting another puppy and I have to tell you Joe was always ready to answer any concerns I had. We went by to see Maggie one weekend at the Brooks‘ and see the parents . Their entire setup was so impressive and clean. They also provided a lot of love and care to each puppy, of which I associate Maggie‘s quick adjustment to our home and other Bassett. Thanks again for loving our puppy during her wait to come home with us.

Hi Joe,

We just wanted to send you a note and recent picture of Hoover. He is a wonderful dog and has become a big part of our family. Thank you so much for such a fine quality dog. He is so affectionate, friendly and gentle. He loves our kids, actually he loves all kids and thinks that all dogs are his friends. He was easily house trained. In fact we trained him to ring a giant jingle bell that hangs on the door when he needs to go out. We just really love having him around. If we ever decide that Hoover needs a playmate we will be sure to come to you. He is the best bassett we have ever had and he is our 4th. Thanks so much. The Crook Family Opelika AL.
